Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities -

    • Provide technical support to Product Development for new product launches, including: Material selection, Tool design, Feasibility assessments, Layout input, and Tooling quotes and process recommendations
    • Develop and document setup parameters and tolerances for manufacturing processes
    • Ensure product and process quality through: Designing testing methods, Conducting product/process capability studies, Establishing standards
    • Collaborate with Quality Engineering on P-FMEAs and implement poke-yoke solutions to reduce RPNs
    • Conduct capability studies to ensure process stability and provide design feedback
    • Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, space planning, and equipment layout
    • Oversee tool design and build with the tooling department
    • Make tool maintenance decisions in collaboration with tool room personnel
    • Exercise authority to stop production when necessary to maintain product quality
    • Support operations by troubleshooting process issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives
    • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
    • Stay current on industry technology and innovations through research and vendor engagement
    • Maintain technical knowledge through training, workshops, and professional networking
    • Comply with environmental policies and ensure proper handling and disposal of materials
    • Support ISO and other quality program certifications
    • Promote sustainability by minimizing waste, energy use, and scrap through effective process control
    • Perform additional tasks as requested by the supervisor
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    • Document all work thoroughly and maintain accurate project records

What we are looking for in a Manufacturing Engineer -

    • Minimum of three years of experience in forming/cutting operations
    • Associate degree in tooling, manufacturing technology, or related technical field
    • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD software, and statistical process control
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications for a Manufacturing Engineer -

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related technical discipline
    • 15+ years of relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
    • Experience with printed materials and multi-layer constructions
