Position Summary:
This position is ideal for an IT professional at the early phases of their career with a strong desire to gain technical experience and a growth mindset. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills and a strong desire for ongoing feedback. The IT Analyst will work closely with our team of developers, sales professionals, cybersecurity professionals and business analysts to drive business strategy in software development, systems administration, and database management.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular research and analysis to propose business areas where technology can be employed to improve business operations
- Write production-ready code in various programming languages
- Collaborate with team members to create software solutions
- Participate in development meetings and perform administrative tasks as needed
- Debug and test code to ensure quality and reliability
- Creating and rolling out fixes and publishing finished code to the production server
- Analyze software and hardware issues while providing timely solutions to maintain system performance
- Identifying and resolving technical issues and maintaining the security of the company’s computer systems
- Working with clients onsite and offsite to understand their technological needs and assist with their user acceptance testing processes
- Establish strong relationships with key sponsors, stakeholders and team members by building trust and rapport
- Provide training and support to end users on new software and solutions
- Stay updated with the emerging trends and technologies in the IT industry
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, software installation and configuration.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet project management deadlines
- Proven collaboration skills
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and methodologies
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Proven programming skills and ability to learn and apply new knowledge efficiently
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience with HTML/CSS, PHP and SQL a plus
- Knowledgeable and able to work in a Linux development and Server environment
