Position Summary:
The Corporate Controller will manage the Accounting department by providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company’s future.
 

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination and analysis of financial management reports including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgets.
    • Oversee the cost accounting function.
    • Manage the Credit Department to ensure proper credit limits are established and monitored. Develop and promote suitable financial relationships with customers to ensure credit and collections are handled effectively.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expenses reports, cash control, core payroll processing, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
    • Ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components, including billings, and cash receipts application.
    • Assure corporate tax compliance. Verify the accurate and timely completion of all corporate tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
    • Establish and maintain financial systems and controls which verify the integrity of all processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value.
    • Respond to CFO and other executive management with accurate and timely work.
    • Participate in a wide variety of special projects.
    • Develop and interpret accurate reports.
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner
    • Conform to regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
    • Effectively interact with legal counsel.
    • Some travel is required to visit multi-site locations, customers, business partners, and trade group meetings.
    • Other Duties as assigned 

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA a plus
    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
    • Effective leadership and managerial abilities
    • Contractual negotiation experience
    • Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents and information
    • Proven proficiency in developing user friendly spreadsheets
    • Strong general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax and banking knowledge
