Engineering at Sesame
Want to help? Join our team! We are growing and looking for an experienced engineer focused on service development rather than front end development, but comfortable in both worlds. Our system is currently React and (Javascript and) Typescript on the front end and Java on the back end. We are completing migration of the front end away from Javascript to Typescript, and adding and migrating more services to Typescript on the backend.

- Comfortable with the infrastructure portion of our tech stack - Kubernetes in GCP/GKE, Postgres, Node, Typescript and Java
- You communicate the what, how and why clearly so your peers can learn from you

- You strive to write clean, efficient and testable code in line with our long term goals
- You maintain a healthy balance between perfectionism and actually getting stuff done
- You love building scalable systems. You have 5+ years of industry experience at scale
- You are a strong team player, have strong writing skills, and enjoy collaborating with others
- You are attuned to the uptime requirements and experience for a consumer product

$160,000 - $180,000 a year
In addition to cash compensation, Sesame employees are eligible for new hire stock option grants. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job related reasons.
