Join the Mosaic Social Media Content Creation Team!

Mosaic is a youth-led initiative within Search for Common Ground. Mosaic envisions a world where, in the face of disagreement or conflict, the norms for youth activism move beyond win-lose, adversarial approaches and prioritize radical collaboration that leads to breakthrough, win-win solutions. We aim to create a world where activists are equipped to work with their perceived opponents, turn them into allies, and catalyze systemic change that endures through widespread support.

We are seeking youth consultants to help us create TikTok videos that align with our mission of equipping young people to navigate conflict constructively. Consultants will create/use their own TikTok account to spread ideas on how to navigate conflict through short videos on TikTok. This is a paid position at $15/hour with an expected commitment of 5-7 hours per week for 4 months starting in February. We aim to create a diverse team from a variety of racial, gender, socioeconomic, ideological, etc. backgrounds.


    • At least one TikTok video per week that aligns with our mission and values. You will create / use your own TikTok account and upload videos of one "content identity," with the content related to Mosaic's mission in some way. (By one "content identity," we mean one type / style of content. For example, think of YouTubers who sing covers of songs and that's the only kind of content they post. In the context of Mosaic, an example of this could be TikTok videos of you cooking with the voice-over / audio explaining an idea aligned with Mosaic's mission. We can work with you to create this content identity if needed.)
    • Attendance at our weekly Social Media Team meetings, which run for 30 minutes.

We are specifically looking for applicants who have the following characteristics:

    • Have demonstrated experience / expertise running or working on social media content creation
    • Are self-driven and can take an idea and run with it
    • Work well in a team setting
    • Can think about problems and ideas in a critical and creative way
    • Have an interest & passion for youth activism / advocacy and bridge-building
    • Experience in video editing and / or graphic design is a plus
