About the Program
The San Francisco Giants are thrilled to announce our summer Giants High School Ambassador Program, offering an exciting opportunity for high school students ages 16 and 17 years old, an introduction to working in baseball at Oracle Park. This program is designed to provide high school students with hands-on valuable experience, mentorship, and opportunities for personal and professional growth while having an opportunity to connect with our fans. Our goal is to prioritize students who may not have a natural introduction to working in sports and to create an enriching experience that prioritizes experiential learning, networking and on-the-job training opportunities. 
 
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because….
·        You are passionate about baseball and eager to learn about the sports industry
·        You are 16 or 17 years of age
·        You are excited to work in a fast-pace, hands-on professional environment 
·        You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and are passionate about engaging with diverse audiences
·        You are able to commit to the six (6) week program during June & July 
 
You will have the opportunity to work in one of these game day specific roles:

G-Team Ambassador
·        Execute pre-game and in-game entertainment features, including selecting contestants, distributing promotional items, leading t-shirt tosses, and organizing contests
·        Help to build energy and enthusiasm throughout the ballpark to build a home-field advantage
·        Comfortable with physical activity, including, but not limited to, running around the warning track and ballpark between innings
·        Flexible hour shifts: 5-hour shifts (e.g., two hours prior to first pitch, until the 6th inning).
 
Event Operations Ambassador
·        Support set-up before games and events (e.g., operations, equipment, etc.) 
·        Support Say Hey Pop Up Exhibit by providing customer service to fans 
·        Assist with Batting Practice events- including “shagging” baseballs and operating pitching machines
·        5-hour shifts (e.g., 3 hours before the game starts and 2 hours after the game ends).
 
Go-Ahead Entry Ambassador
·        Go Ahead Entry - provide customer support and technology support helping fans navigate our new  “fast entry” process using facial authentication
·        Provide proactive, friendly service to all fans. Greet guests in a pleasant manner.
·        Five to Eight-hour shifts starting 30 minutes before gates open 
 
Additional Information: 
·        Enrollment in High School in Junior or Senior year
·        16 or 17 years of age by start of program on June 17, 2024 
·        Possession of documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility.
·        Commit to the six-week program from June 17 to July 26, 2024
·        Able to work at least twenty (20) hours per week. Must be available to work during game hours including nights and weekends. See schedule here: https://www.mlb.com/giants/schedule/2024/fullseason
·        Selected applicants will be required to obtain a work permit. Work permits can be obtained from High School or the school district where the applicant resides
·        Application Window: May 6 to May 24, 2024
