Business Operations Manager, Lean In Programs

The Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through three key initiatives: LeanIn.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program. 

We are looking for someone to drive adoption of Lean In’s programs (Lean In Circles, 50 Ways to Fight Bias and Allyship at Work) at scale. You’ll help drive growth and engagement of our suite of diversity and inclusion programs through operationalizing and managing a set of initiatives that allow us to reach and support companies of all sizes, all across the world. 

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of work experience with at least 2-3 years in business operations and is excited to launch and manage new initiatives in order to deliver against established targets.

Due to COVID-19, our team is working remotely (on PDT hours) through June 2022. Long term we're planning to operate as a hybrid team, with some team members working in-person and some working remotely, depending on the nature of their role, their leadership responsibilities, and the composition of their team. For people who work in-person, we'll maintain our standard schedule of three in-office and two work-from-home days.


    • Own and drive the strategy to grow adoption across all of Lean In’s company programs at scale 
    • Operationalize, train, and manage a community of facilitators around the globe, responsible for bringing Lean In programs to companies 
    • Manage the design and delivery of public trainings on Lean In programs to drive program adoption including managing Lean In’s DEI Training Manager
    • Drive process and program delivery improvements, ensuring programs are delivered in a scalable way and adapted to incorporate customer feedback and latest DEI research and trends
    • Wear many hats, flexing where needed to take on a variety of projects, and easily pivot as priorities shift


    • Passion for missions of Lean In, Option B, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program 
    • Strong advocate for equity, inclusion, and uplifting marginalized voices
    • Track record of excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of how to operationalize new initiatives and programs
    • 5-7 years work experience including 2-3 years in business operations - consulting experience is plus
    • Experience managing complex projects amidst ambiguity 
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple time-sensitive projects on deadline; highly organized and process-driven
    • Team management experience a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to learn, follow through, and improve on foundation processes 
    • Ability to tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset and thoughtful, proactive approach
    • Thrives on new challenges; consumer brand and/or startup experience a plus
    • Available to consistently work PDT hours
    • Remote experience a plus
