We’re looking for a Digital Art Director to join SharkNinja’s creative team. The ideal candidate will integrate design with strategy across all digital platforms for the Shark brand. Our culture is fast-growing, fast-paced and unpredictable. (We know everyone says this, but seriously, we mean it.) A good candidate is a creative, conceptual thinker with robust experience bringing product stories to life through integrated campaigns and go-to-market product launches—branding, advertising, social media campaigns, website development, apps, email, video, and more. As a member of the Creative Department, the Art Director will ensure that the design, writing and technology we develop are greater than the sum of their parts and achieve the client’s communication objectives. Versatility to pivot to packaging, cookbook, in-box collateral and in-store display design is a plus.
 
Strong attention to detail and passion for design, this candidate is a systems-level thinker and problem solver excited by the opportunity to push the boundaries of constraints.
 
Responsibilities:
·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand marketing, engineering, digital experience, product development, project managers, and executive leadership in order to create compelling content for ongoing, seasonal, and go-to-market campaigns—direct to consumer and retail channels (social/display marketing, email campaigns, website design, video asset development)
·       Clearly articulates design decisions that are backed up with strategic supporting evidence, insight, and rationale with campaign level thinking
·       Lead the creative development and execution of individual projects — both interactive and print design — in close collaboration with Writers and Production Designers to keep deliverables on track
·       Team player and self-starter with a passion for design and finding smart solutions to complex problems
·       Establish brand-appropriate creative approaches ensuring creative consistency across channels
·       Participate in client meetings, creative discussions, strategy discussions, and development of presentations
·       Mentor and provide feedback/creative direction to junior team members and freelancers
 
Required Skills, Mindset, and Functional Expertise:
·       Online portfolio with a heavy emphasis on digital work and campaign-focused projects demonstrating creative problem-solving skills, eye for detail, understanding of typography, and aesthetic filled with integrated, cross platform campaigns
 
·       Clear understanding of digital-first mentality, comfortable with current trends, excited about learning new ones
·       Experience making user experience decisions is a plus
·       Open to being challenged and belief that constructive feedback drives better results
·       Comfortable presenting to, directly communicating with and being challenged by senior leadership
·       Strong organizational, communication and conceptual thinking skills, as well as attention to detail
·       Experienced multitasker and is not intimidated by the thought of juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
·       Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
·       Embrace challenges and new methods of thinking beyond the tasks at hand with a holistic and methodical approach
 
Qualifications:
·       6-8 years agency or creative department experience
·       1-2 years acting as Art Director or senior visual designer at a digital agency or in-house
·       Depth of digital experience and knowledge of current best-practices
·       Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
·       HTML/CSS/javascript coding experience is a plus, but not required
·      Experience in design targeting users within in DTC communications
