Our sustainability strategy is built upon the pillars of Building Resilience in conjunction with our strong values and Culture. As part of the expansion in this area, we are introducing a brand new role –UK Sustainability Lead. You will be a positive role model for Innovative Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) across the business.

You will have excellent organisation and communication skills to ensure all initiatives are delivered to their full potential. This includes regular communications with employees and managers to demonstrate the ‘why’ and outline the underlaying process. In this dynamic position, you will directly report to the Executive Manager and actively contribute to the implementation of the companies Sustainability Strategy.

Sustainability Responsibilities:

    • Lead on development of UK Carbon Reduction strategy plan and coordinate program initiatives to drive our net zero carbon emission 2040 goal. 
    •  Provide business direction to set and develop a roadmap to meet sustainability Carbon reduction target(s) and key metrics to measure performance success. 
    •  Build sustainability focus group(s) to drive ownership and execution of initiatives, aligning with Global Daniels Teams to deliver on our International commitments. 
    •  Foster internal awareness of Initiatives within the company, cultivating a sustainable culture. 
    • Maintain carbon emission database and lead the preparation of sustainability performance reports inline with customer and regulatory requirements. 
    • Research & network across industry to identify and manage any future climate-related advances / risks. 
    • Understand future technology trends and help our department leaders make sure that appropriate training is in place to ensure individuals are 'future ready'. 
    • Support the tender team with environment and sustainability, including social value, responses for bids and PQQs 

Corporate Social Value Responsibilities:

    • Work with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee; to develop our Social Value strategy and facilitate initiative delivery to satisfy company and customer target requirements 
    • Development of our CSR goals and initiatives in relation to our key pillars (Community-  Workplace - Environment), ensuring alignment with our business strategy and customer needs to enhance our social value. 
    • Manage our Social Value Calendar and budget to ensure that each event/project is impactful and deliver against our overarching goals. 
    • Liaise with external partners and charities, managing existing relationships and delivering new partnerships to enhance our programmes and deliver greater impact. 
    • Focus on integration and innovation delivering programme narratives, communication and engagement plans across business. 
    • Cultivate relationships with charity partners, fostering engagement and facilitating financial donations.  
    • Organise, lead and manage actions from monthly and quarterly committee meetings – CSR, Sustainability  

Candidate Profile

    • Experience delivering Sustainability programmes  
    • Keen interest in Social Value / Corporate Social Responsibility 
    • Sound understanding of environmental principles. 
    • Confident in challenging the way things are done and talking to people at all levels of the organisation.
    • Able to interpret data and be confident in using and communicating numbers and trends and experience in producing reports and tracking progress. 
    • Ability to adapt working practices/priorities in a fast-paced environment 
    • Strong project management and planning skills, with meticulous attention to detail. 
    • Experience reporting business performance 
    • Driving license and willing to travel
