We’re able to drastically reduce the amount of shrink (food waste) which in turn drives profit for retailers, lowers costs for consumers, and reduces the negative ecological and social impacts of waste. 

Shelf Engine is searching for a Launch Lead to join our growing Field Team. In this role, you will provide your expertise to assist Field Team leadership in helping to build and stabilize new markets and accounts, while serving as an essential resource to our Inventory Specialists, aka, "Shelf Champions".  

As a Launch Lead at Shelf Engine, you will:

    • Lead Field efforts for planning upcoming launches
    • Align with HR and Recruiting to develop staffing plan for team needs
    • Partner cross functionally to keep teams informed on status and needs of Field Team to support launch
    • Support all regions in various capacity for growth and launches
    • Travel flexibly to meet team's ever-evolving needs
    • Be an early team member in market, partnering with stores to align on expectations and needs
    • Plan out training and early engagements with local Shelf Champions in new markets
    • Manage early performance audits for Shelf Champions and correct any issues found
    • Complete market reconnaissance needs and report findings back to cross functional teams
    • Solicit feedback from stores, as appropriate, to make sure Shelf Engine is meeting customers' expectations
    • Build initial routes for optimal use of Shelf Champions' time and resulting in great coverage
    • Support and refresh routes during early period post-launch to make necessary adjustments
    • Lead strategic projects to advance the future of Field Team, especially in solutions and opportunity to improve launch processes (routing technology as an example)
    • Provide feedback to appropriate teams on feedback from the Field (Product team, as an example, for improving technological solutions)
    • Partner with Onboarding CS to collaborate on Recon
    • Act as a back up for various roles within Field Team as needed, including completion of routes

We think you’d make a great Launch Lead at Shelf Engine, if:

    • You have 5+ years experience in project management
    • You have a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license in good standing
    • You are a quick learner and creative problem solver
    • You thrive working in a team and are also a self starter to get things going, occasionally with limited direction
    • You can effectively direct the work of others
    • You have strong interpersonal skills
    • You have strong written and oral communication skills

Requirements:

    • Must be able to travel, sometimes with short notice
    • Must be ok with a certain level of ambiguity, given speed of growth
    • Must be good working with limited guidance
    • Must be open to feedback to make quick course corrections and get to a better solution, faster
    • Must have a "can-do" attitude, where very few problems seem unsolvable but rather may just require a creative solution
    • Must be able to think on your feet and react quickly, when scenarios don't unfold as planned
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
