As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Technical Program Manager in the successful execution and delivery of technical projects within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is passionate about engineering, project management, and contributing to the overall success of innovative technical initiatives. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Collaborate with the team to execute projects with speed, efficiency, and quality.
    • Assist in the coordination of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints using project management tools.  
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure effective communication between stakeholders. 
    • Communicate technical subject matter to subject matter experts, customers, and executives. Communicate to achieve various objectives such as status, decision-making, issue identification, and direction.  
    • Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of UAS design and integration efforts 
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation. 
    • Assist in the development of executive-level status reports for presentation to the Technical Program Manager, customers, and other relevant stakeholders. 
    • Resource and Schedule Management 
    • Assist in resource allocation and management to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment. 
    • Collaborate with team members to monitor project timelines and milestones. 
    • Identify potential technical and programmatic risks and challenges within projects and propose mitigation strategies. 
    • Monitor and report on risk factors affecting project progress. 
    • Identify process gaps and work to fill them through temporary ‘tiger-teams’ and cross-functional process development.   
    • You get excited about technical and process challenges, and are the go-to person to fix problems of all flavors.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
    • B.S. Degree in a STEM field. Aerospace, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.  
    • Familiarity with concepts of systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, and control theory 
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented 
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills 
    • Experience with project management and technical communication. 
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance. 
    • Ability to support travel up to 25% 
    • Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3-5 years of experience  
    • Hands on manufacturing, flight testing, design engineering, or systems engineering experience 
    • Experience working on mission critical DOD systems 
    • Experience with DOD acquisition  
    • Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
$115,620 - $173,430 a year
