As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Technical Program Manager in the successful execution and delivery of technical projects within our organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Collaborate with the team to execute projects with speed, efficiency, and quality.
- Assist in the coordination of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints using project management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure effective communication between stakeholders.
- Communicate technical subject matter to subject matter experts, customers, and executives. Communicate to achieve various objectives such as status, decision-making, issue identification, and direction.
- Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of UAS design and integration efforts
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Assist in the development of executive-level status reports for presentation to the Technical Program Manager, customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Resource and Schedule Management
- Assist in resource allocation and management to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to monitor project timelines and milestones.
- Identify potential technical and programmatic risks and challenges within projects and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on risk factors affecting project progress.
- Identify process gaps and work to fill them through temporary ‘tiger-teams’ and cross-functional process development.
- You get excited about technical and process challenges, and are the go-to person to fix problems of all flavors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
- B.S. Degree in a STEM field. Aerospace, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with concepts of systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, and control theory
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience with project management and technical communication.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to support travel up to 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Hands on manufacturing, flight testing, design engineering, or systems engineering experience
- Experience working on mission critical DOD systems
- Experience with DOD acquisition
- Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
$115,620 - $173,430 a year
