Shield AI is looking for a driven and adaptable Junior Communications & Marketing Associate to support our growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Taipei, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for storytelling and a willingness to jump into a wide variety of projects. You will help shape how Shield AI shows up in the region across media, marketing, and advertising efforts.
We’re looking for someone with strong writing and editing skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to solve problems independently. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s excited to gain hands-on experience in both communications and marketing while working at the intersection of global tech and defense.
What you'll do:
- Draft, edit, and localize marketing and communications copy for both internal and external audiences
- Support translation needs across campaigns, press releases, and stakeholder materials
- Coordinate with regional PR agencies on announcements, interview logistics, and ongoing press relationships
- Assist in developing and executing paid ad campaigns, including social and digital
- Help maintain brand voice and messaging consistency across platforms
- Provide general support on regional events, media outreach, and reporting
- Work cross-functionally with global comms and marketing teams on projects as needed
Required qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in communications, marketing, media, or a related field (internships included)
- Master’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or similar
- Strong writing and editing skills in English and Mandarin
- Experience working with or managing external partners such as PR or ad agencies
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented
- Familiarity with social media platforms, ad tools, or analytics is a plus
