The Senior Business Development Manager role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential enterprise customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers. If you are motivated and results-driven we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to Shippit’s long-term business growth.

The Role

    • Managing a sales pipeline throughout the entire sales process
    • Increasing Shippit’s market penetration in the Enterprise segment
    • Providing Shippit product and logistics knowledge, SaaS solutions to a range of merchants in key verticals.
    • Regular on-site/virtual client visits to identify, qualify and close opportunities.
    • Collaborating with all levels of relationships from merchants to C-level executives.
    • Proactively liaising with contacts for the purpose of managing the merchant relationship, identifying new opportunities and maximising sales.
    • Create and execute Success Plans for each merchant account and drive key business and technical objectives.
    • Ability to meet and/or exceed sales goals and targets consistently.

Requirements

    • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience as an experienced BDM for SaaS Enterprise
    • An understanding of the retail / eCommerce industry and some of the challenges with logistics and fulfilment.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong negotiation and resolution skills selling on value and differentiation
    • Positive energy and enjoys collaborating as a team
    • Experience of managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
    • Demonstrated attention to detail
    • Advance working experience with Microsoft Office
    • Salesforce CRM experience
    • Strong network within Retail and Ecommerce
    • Logistics knowledge is an advantage
