At Canal, we're building the future of commerce. Our first product (launched last October) is a Shopify app that allows D2C brands to expand their product offering by easily cross-selling other brands on their site, as well as offer their products on other sites within our curated network.

We're quickly expanding into the broader e-commerce ecosystem. Soon, Canal will enable anyone with an audience (whether that's a brand or a creator/expert) to monetize their product recommendations.

We're backed by top VC firms and e-commerce leaders, including Forerunner Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Sound Ventures, Gaingels, Shrug Ventures, and we're building a formidable team to tackle the massive opportunity ahead.

Responsibilities

    • Drive new business by identifying, qualifying, and developing new partnership opportunities for Canal
    • Collaborate closely with the Go to Market leadership and team to strategize creative outreach campaigns & determine priority of outreach based on impact
    • Manage early stages of Canal’s Go to Market pipeline by performing initial outreach and nurturing leads through various inbound and outbound channels (including phone, email + social)
    • Engage potential partners (Suppliers and Storefronts) about goals and challenges, and educate them on the value of Canal
    • Stay optimistic and focused on results when sourcing customers, including shaking off the no's
    • Define partnerships with and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including; implementation, merchandising, sales, implementation, customer success, etc
    • Contribute significantly to Canal’s growth as we scale

    • 1-2 years relevant work experience in customer-facing roles for SaaS or e-commerce
    • Polished communication skills, including writing and comfort leading prospect meetings
    • Technical aptitude with SaaS and office suite products
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once
    • Competence with complex technology (ability to understand our backend system) 
    • The ability to  thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment

Compensation

    • $60-$90k Base Salary + Performance Incentive Plan
