As an Offline Marketer, you will be responsible for owning and executing small and large scale events globally for Shopify Plus. You will either be leading or supporting various offline marketing initiatives from owned events to industry trade shows. You will be working cross-functionally within the Plus team and Shopify’s core team to lead the strategy of fully-integrated offline marketing campaigns.

Requirements for the Role:

    • 5+ years experience in an events or marketing function, preferably in an B2B environment
    • Can build strong relationships both internally and externally
    • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize in relation to Shopify Plus business objectives
    • Ability to work under pressure and with hard deadlines
    • Ability to travel globally
    • Can work well as part of a team and as an individual contributor
    • You are organized and can keep a project on track
    • Work well with external agencies and give the right direction and feedback to achieve end goals
    • Detail-oriented and can push the status quo

Projects You'll Work On:

    • Lead the strategy of what our offline presence should be based on our brand and business objectives
    • Create project + creative briefs to kick off and guide an event to completion
    • Own event communications both internally and externally (ie. marketing + Shopifolk comms)
    • Help identify and prioritize offline opportunities for Shopify Plus
    • Manage external relationships integral to the offline marketing activity ie. partners, speakers, trade show organizers
    • Work closely with our international marketers to support their regional growth goals
    • Support the presence and strategy of Shopify Plus at Shopify Core events
    • Help guide and develop content for owned events - working closely with our content + product marketing teams
    • Help decide on the best sponsorship and partner strategy for owned events
    • Work closely with our sales and merchant success teams to support pipeline goals and merchant engagement
