The company delivers the most technologically advanced Mobile Ad-Hoc Networking (MANET) solution to multiple markets including: Law Enforcement; Unmanned Systems; and Military, among others. Along with its successful MANET product line, the company also delivers on ground breaking research in the area of wireless data communications. The company has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months and is expecting the rate of growth to continue with the introduction of new products and services. 


The Opportunity

Silvus Technologies is seeking a FPGA/IC Design Engineer to participate in the design and
development of a new wireless product line and contribute to advanced wireless systems R&D.

The role includes the design and verification of both FPGA and Integrated Circuit (IC) digital
designs and the data interfaces between them.

Technical Responsibilities

Our digital designers actively participate in all aspects of the development process from system
concept to prototype development and field deployment:
 
FPGA and Integrated Circuit (IC) digital design architecture definition
RTL coding and test bench development
Fixed point system simulations
Integration support for top-level chip design
FPGA and IC synthesis and timing closure
Working with PCB and software team for system-level implementation
Participation in Hardware verification and troubleshooting

Qualifications
MSEE required, Ph.D in Electrical Engineering a plus
2+ years of digital design experience required
Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog
Experience with Cadence Digital Design Tools
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs and the Vivado IDE
Experience with multi-clock domains, high-speed data interface, high-utilization designs
Experience with Verilog-AMS and w-real simulation in Virtuoso a plus
Experience with high speed SERDES PHY layer synchronization and equalization a plus
Experience with Matlab, Python, and/or C is a plus
Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), wireless systems is a plus

Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to clients under U.S.
government contracts
Ability to pass a background check
