Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Our scrum masters empower teams to deliver the highest customer value in the shortest time and build reflective, collaborative cultures that embrace problem-solving, and open communication.

As a Senior Scrum Master you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll help to plan and prioritise work across teams, building roadmaps and tracking progress against these. You’ll coach and mentor less experienced scrum masters to help build Simply Business’s Agile maturity.

You’ll report into Martin (Agile Delivery Manager), who has a very collaborative leadership style. He firmly believes his role is to create the conditions for his team to succeed. He’ll be your biggest cheerleader in your growth and personal development.

As one of our Senior Scrum Masters, you’ll:

    • remove blockers and minimising disruptions and distractions to help teams deliver at pace
    • maximise scrum events to be purposeful and effective
    • create an environment of motivation and collaboration for teams to experiment and learn
    • provide coaching and support to enable teams to be high performing and continuously improving
    • build trust and nurture relationships with engineering managers, engineering leads, customer experience, data and analytics, business owners, and other leaders and stakeholders
    • produce and manage delivery artefacts, such as roadmaps, portfolio kanban boards, quarterly plans, and delivery metrics

We’re looking for someone who is:

    • currently in a Scrum Master or similar role. You’ve gained extensive knowledge through delivery lead/delivery management roles and you’re ready to step up, or you have already stepped up into a Senior Scrum Master role
    • organised, self-motivated, action-oriented, with a desire to lead cross-functional teams to positive outcomes
    • able to create collaborative cultures, plan work, align people and ideas
    • able to manage complexity and simplify challenges
    • highly-skilled in servant leadership, coaching, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, psychological safety and empowerment
    • able to demonstrate a mindset of endless possibility, while respecting the direction of the organisation
(We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the bullet points above to be considered for this role.)

We encourage people of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, supportive place for you to be you and do your very best work.
