Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Our MGA is growing and becoming more complex with more distribution channels. As part of this exciting growth we are looking for an Underwriting Excellence Lead to join our team. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve the underwriting process and ensure the quality of underwriting decisions.

You’ll report to Emma (Head of Underwriting), who is being promoted into this role and will start on 1 July. You’ll support the team and be given the opportunity to add your own stamp to this role.  

As our Underwriting Excellence Lead, you’ll:

    • develop and implement strategies to improve the underwriting process
    • deliver positive customer outcomes
    • develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and procedures
    • train and develop underwriters
    • ensure that regulatory, compliance, and market practices are adhered to
    • work with our capacity providers to provide assurance of high underwriting quality

We’re looking for someone who:

    • has proven underwriting experience (senior underwriting level)
    • has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • has strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices
