Simulmedia is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer with a curious and creative mindset to join our Engineering team. As a QA Engineer at Simulmedia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products. You will lead our manual testing efforts by carefully designing, executing, and maintaining test cases to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track issues early in the development cycle, helping us deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience.

This position is located in Ukraine, preferably in either Kyiv or Lviv. The team is located in Kyiv/Lviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings in the office.
 
Requirements:
      Location in Ukraine is mandatory
      3+ years of experience in software testing
      Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
      Strong ability to design, execute, and document accurate manual test cases
      Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Shortcut)
      Ability to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them efficiently
      Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
      Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
      Willingness to collaborate with engineers to improve QA processes and testing efficiency

Qualifications:
      3+ years of professional experience in QA or test engineering
      Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with test automation integration (e.g., GitHub Actions)
      Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
      Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
      Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
      Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for quality assurance and continuous improvement
      Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
      Comfortable communicating with U.S. based teams
      Availability to work 11 am — 8 pm EEST

Nice to Have:
      Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, including experience with Playwright testing
      Experience with AWS services and infrastructure

Our Tech Stack:
      Our testing framework is primarily built on Playwright and TypeScript
      We test against dedicated testing environments as well as Docker images
