The Director of Design is responsible for delivering world-class products and experiences. Your focus will be on building a design culture and building cross-functional awareness around Design Thinking and User Centered Design processes and best practices. As Director, you will oversee our design and user research team and ensure that all efforts lead to creative outcomes that are of high-quality and on-brand. You will define and exemplify what the design culture at Sirona stands for and represents. You will  develop and implement processes and frameworks that can scale along with our teams to help ensure teams are able to work collaboratively, inclusively, and with maximized efficiency and joy.


    • Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
    • A minimum of 5 years managerial and senior-level UX/UI design experience
    • 1-3 years front-line service experience with clinicians or radiologists
    • A portfolio demonstrating experience in leading large, complex web product designs
    • Strong communication skills and a passion for mentorship
    • Collaborating with other departments as necessary and ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders
    • Excellent leadership, organization, and analytical skills
    • Great time management and multi-tasking skills
    • Comprehensive understanding of user needs and best research practices
    • Ability to resolve complex design and communication issues


    • Hiring, developing, and inspiring the design and research team
    • Meeting with radiologists to discuss their clinical needs and translating those needs into a design vision
    • Collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders to align and execute on product goals
    • Develop strategic design plans with projected timelines
    • Reviewing feedback from clients and making alterations according to the radiologists needs
    • Analyzing market research to create more effective designs
