YOUR ROLE:
- We are seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team at SiteGround, dedicated to our Site Builder and E-commerce product. This role is a hybrid of UX and UI design, where you will be at the forefront of crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling user experiences. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to bring user-centered design solutions to life, ensuring that our interfaces not only look great but also provide seamless and highly functional user experiences tailored to the needs of online store owners and website creators.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design: Lead the design process from concept to final hand-off, ensuring that all solutions are of the highest quality and meet both user needs and business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, developers, and fellow designers to create cohesive and impactful product designs.
- User-Centered Design: Leverage user research, personas, and usability testing to inform and validate design choices, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Prototyping and Wireframing: Create prototypes, wireframes, and mockups that effectively convey design ideas and can be seamlessly translated into functional interfaces.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and continually iterate on designs to enhance the user experience.
- Design System Management: Develop and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across the platform through clear guidelines and best practices.
OUR EXPECTATIONS:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Senior Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects.
- Figma Expertise: Excellent knowledge of Figma and its application in design workflows.
- Design Passion: A deep passion for design and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and web design.
- Design Fundamentals: Passion for clear design, with a solid grasp of typography and color theory.
- User-Centered Design: Expertise in user-centered design, including planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and addressing usability and accessibility concerns.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to non-designers.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and embrace new challenges with a positive attitude.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of site builders, e-commerce platforms, and the specific design challenges associated with them.
- Feedback and Iteration: Ability to give, receive, and act upon feedback constructively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ownership: Willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion.
GREAT ADVANTAGE WILL BE:
- Experience designing user interfaces specifically for site builders.
- Experience working with site builders and e-commerce platforms, understanding their unique challenges and opportunities.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience designing inclusive products.
- Expertise in designing customizable templates and themes, providing users with flexible design options within the site builder framework.
- Experience with multi-language and localization support within site builders, ensuring a seamless user experience for global audiences.
- Knowledge of UX research methods specifically applied to site builder platforms, such as task analysis and usability studies.
- Experience in creating intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces that enhance the user’s ability to build complex layouts easily.
- Experience designing onboarding flows that cater to different user personas, from beginners to advanced users, within site builders.
