We are currently looking to fill a position for a Cyber DevOps Engineer.
This position requires a strong background in DevOps with focus on Security as it relates to Infrastructure and Operations. You will be part of a team that is directly responsible for uptime of production systems and you must have strong technical hands-on experience in delivering projects.
You understand moving fast is key for the company and ensuring services are available 24/7/365 requires on-call participation, focus on automation, careful planning of changes, detailed runbooks - documentation. If the work performed is manually repeated often, you find a way to automate the task. More so, you make things happen.
You have a natural curiosity for all thing’s technology and 'geek-out' on all thing tech related. Your passionate about working with new technologies like AWS, Docker and automation apps like chef/puppet/ansible.
About the role:
o Work with new and existing customer to enable SkOUT services.
o Assist and troubleshoot to ensure uptime for SkOUT services across customers.
o Assist in designing, building, and reviewing security-related services and functionality of web applications, mobile applications, and desktop applications
o Solid understanding of system and network architecture (include microservices)
o Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architectures
o Hands on knowledge with intrusion detection, monitoring and logging best practices
o Intimate knowledge of Cloud, Public Cloud security best practices and monitoring of systems and services hosted in the cloud (IaaS, SaaS etc)
o Knowledge and experience with virtualization and containerization (kubernetes, docker)
o Demonstrates the ability to analyze and resolve issues independently.
o Knowledge of project management tasks, experience creating documentation, and demonstrated ability to train other team members.
o Knowledge of security vendors and security product capabilities.
Education & Required Skills:
o BA or BS/MA or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field experience.
o 5+ Years’ Networking Experience and System Engineering.
o Hands on working knowledge of various operating system flavors including but not limited to Windows, Linux, Unix
o Hands on experience in Bash, Python, Perl coding/scripting languages.
o Knowledge of applications, databases, middleware to address security threats.
o Knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management.
o Hands on experience with Jira & Confluence.
o Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation.
o Excellent communication and leadership skills
o Experience in performing vendor management
o Ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders
o Great Analytical skills, Problem solving and Interpersonal skills.
