Skydance Interactive is looking for a Lead Engineer for our game series based on The Walking Dead. You will be working with team members that helped make AAA game titles such as Call of Duty, The Evil Within, XCOM 2, Gears of War 4. You will enjoy a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive team environment where we actively encourage creative exploration and skills development.

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the design team to achieve and extend the overall vision of the game
    • Evaluate and upgrade the technical skills of engineers on the gameplay team
    • Work with other leads and producers to establish game related tasks and schedules
    • Manage a team of engineers, providing them with technical mentorship and guidance
    • Provide critical analysis of development practices with the goal of improving game quality, team efficiency, and cultivating a positive working environment
    • Help drive the product to completion with the highest standards of quality, performance, and polish

Requirements:

    • BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AAA game development
    • Previous leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential
    • Experience working with UE4 required
    • Shipped at least one PC\Console game using UE4
    • Experience with code and data optimization
    • Fluent in C++
    • Strong programming skills and a demonstrated ability to work with all departments to carry out the vision of the game
    • Experience in the design and architecture of game systems
    • Self-motivated and self-directing, knowledgeable about and willing to pitch in on many areas of development
    • Comfortable working within (and extending) an established code framework
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Passionate about video games
    • Authorization to work in the United States
