SkySlope is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. The purpose of the Senior DevOps Engineer is to aid the development of SkySlope software in pursuit of making life better for every real estate agent, broker and service provider. Specifically, this involves increasing productivity and reliability through automation of deployments and improving system redundancy and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying CI/CD environments
- Develop infrastructure and deployment systems based on services team’s need for delivering software in a timely manner.
- Design and implement the overall architecture of new systems.
- Build out highly scalable and resilient systems
- Develop and maintain highly available, multi-region Kubernetes clusters
- Maintain our multi-region MongoDB Atlas platform
- Mentor teams and developers on multi-region architecture
- Actively participating in solutions, processes, and technology discussions as they apply to infrastructure.
- Plan and implement systems rollout as required by software delivery commitments.
- Monitor and report on platform costs and scaling
- Provide operations expertise in the development and launch of new software
- Lead teams in establishing effective monitoring, alerting, and service level objectives for all systems
- Design and build tooling written in Go
- Maintain processes and procedures for system on-call and incident responses
- Work with all teams to adopt the DevOps mindset
- Plan and execute disaster recovery scenarios
Competencies & Requirements
- Kubernetes expert
- Strong coding skills in Go and NodeJS
- Experience with Helm and Terraform
- Mastery of AWS services, including IAM, VPC & Networking (Transit Gateway, etc.), EC2, Route 53, and S3. Knowledge of GCP is also preferable.
- Experience in automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Argo Workflows & ArgoCD
- Familiarity with queuing platforms such as NATS/Jetstream, RabbitMQ, etc
- Knowledge of databases including MySQL, Postgres, and MongoDB Atlas
- Experience in monitoring and alerting using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
- Ability in system design and architecture using Linux and Containers (Docker)
- 6+ years of software and systems experience
- Computer Science degree preferred
$150,000 - $175,000 a year
