Remote
Join our remote product design team at SkySlope, where we turn complex real estate workflows into intuitive software that people actually enjoy using.

You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to design solutions that are simple, scalable, and smart.

We're looking for a designer who’s curious, collaborative, and quick to iterate.

You break down complexity, ideate swiftly, and document your process clearly. You validate ideas with data and feedback, not just instinct, and you know when to zoom in on the details or zoom out for the big picture.

You’re team-first. You lift others up, share wins, and create space for better ideas. We care deeply about each other, as well as our users, and we expect the same from you.

You move with urgency. Good design isn’t enough. It has to ship. You balance craft with speed, and you’re not afraid to make the first move, even when things are ambiguous.

You think ahead. While others are waiting for the spec, you’re already prototyping the next version. You anticipate, plan, and keep things moving.

Essential Functions

    • UX strategy, documentation, execution, validation and UI implementation.
    • Collaborate on task teams, playing to individual strengths, to support multiple products.
    • Design ideal customer-centric experiences while also providing iterative short-term approaches.
    • Champion user needs through thoughtful, testable design solutions. Create wireframes, flows, and prototypes that communicate intent clearly and support both user and business goals.
    • Translate business, technical and user requirements into compelling, usable designs for web-responsive and mobile app solutions.
    • Implement the strategy, planning and execution of UX and UI related design activities.
    • Use lightweight research methods to test and validate macro and micro interactions.
    • Participate in strategic planning as well as talent recruitment and development.
    • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to continuously improve the user experience and inform design decisions, from discovery through delivery.
    • Utilize Lean and Agile methodologies.
    • Present research findings and design concepts to product management, customer success, development, and external clients.
    • Lead through example; through immaculate documentation and compelling storytelling, you’ll challenge, grow and mentor associate team members and contribute to fostering a collaborative team spirit.
    • Build meticulous user stories.
    • Design with development in mind, building consistent components and experiences that can be shared and reused over applications. Ensure all scenarios and use-cases are solved for, passing thorough and complete specs to developers.
    • Explore and apply generative AI tools and AI-assisted design methodologies where appropriate to improve ideation, prototyping, and iteration speed.
    • Collaborate with engineers and product managers on integrating AI-assisted coding workflows into design solutions and tooling where relevant.
    • Collaborate on hypothesis-driven product discovery alongside PMs and engineers, shaping features with an eye toward measurable impact.
    • Consider ethical and usability implications when designing AI-powered experiences, focusing on clarity, user control, and trust.

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of product design and UX experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in visual design, human computer interaction (HCI) or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • A portfolio of your work.
    • Examples of UX process documentation.
    • Bonus!! Experience working on financial, fintech, or complex data-centric product design.

Required Skills

    • Experience designing and prototyping in Figma (including components, variants, and design tokens).
    • Proficient with Agile tools (Atlassian Jira and Confluence).
    • Expert with modern design tools such as Figma, FigJam, and Adobe CC.
    • Expert in responsive and adaptive design.
    • Solid understanding of accessibility best practices, including WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, semantic markup, color contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility. Accessibility is a core part of your design process, not an afterthought.
    • Excellent instinct with humanist UX copy.
    • Experience working within and maintaining a standard design system.
    • Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Semantic UI, or similar.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence others effectively.
    • Excellent critical thinking skills; using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    • Analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems quickly.
    • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously within short time lines; well versed at connecting strategic objectives to tactical implementation.
    • An obsession with the latest trends in design.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • A relentless work ethic and a strong commitment to exceeding goals.
    • Professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.
    • Familiarity with current trends in generative AI and how AI tools are shaping modern design and development workflows.

OUR ORIGIN STORY 🎂

In 2011 SkySlope started as an idea born at the kitchen table of our CEO, with just him and two others. Headquartered in Sacramento, California, we have since grown out of our previous 3 offices and many of our close to 150 employees are spread all across the United States. Those 150 employees support close to 300,000 users across 5,000 offices nationwide and now in Canada as well. Included in that is 8 out of the 15 largest Real Estate Brokerages in the nation.

But, despite being happy with what we’ve achieved we know that as industry leaders in our space there’s a lot of work left to be done. All of the growth and success that has happened is a result of us obsessing over building cutting edge software that makes the Real Estate world a better place. We know this only happens by hiring people who don’t just come up with out of the box ideas but hiring people who actually see those ideas through and bring them to life. As we’ve grown, we’ve been fortunate enough to hire plenty of people who possess that quality and realize it’s equally important to hire people who can pair that skill with empathy, collaboration, and a keen sense of urgency. If you’re looking to join a company where you can have real impact and surround yourself with an incredible team of people then look no further.
