What we’re working on at Slang

Slang started at MIT as a research project on using AI and NLP to make learning a new language as efficient as possible. Our technology powers a highly adaptive e-learning platform that offers an unprecedented variety of specialized English courses and proficiency tests for career development in over one hundred fields like Sales, Finance, Logistics, Medicine, and Law. With just a small team, we’ve already created the largest professional English offering in the world. Now, we’re scaling up to release 1,000 more courses over the next three years.

What this role is about

We’re a company in our growth stage: our focus is on refining a business model for a novel SaaS product focused on four B2B segments. In this role, you’ll take on the challenge of developing the LATAM market for Slang. You will be responsible for driving the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed deals, and your main goal will be to devise a strategy to develop new business opportunities in LATAM for the Corporate segments. You will have a significant impact on our LATAM expansion!

Education, knowledge and skills required

    • Experience working with consultative selling.
    • Experience selling non-tangible assets. 
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • An eager eye for new sales opportunities.
    • Goal-oriented.
    • Creative problem-solving skills.
    • Forecast Management.
    • B2 or higher level of English.
