Slate is looking for a smart and curious individual to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This role is an important part of the programmatic ad ops team and will report to the senior manager of programmatic. The programmatic ad ops Team is responsible for site revenue, and this candidate’s key focus is driving revenue through direct deals. When the candidate is not supporting sales or managing PMPs, they will be helping with other important programmatic initiatives.  This position is for US employment only.

The annual base pay range for this job is between $60,000 and $72,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as internal programmatic direct deal expert by overseeing programmatic campaigns from start to finish
- Traffic PMPs & PGs in ad servers
- Troubleshoot issues by communicating with platform reps, support teams, and buy side
- Understand campaign KPIs to make real-time optimizations
- Provide strategic recommendations throughout flight along with performance and delivery reports at the end of flight
- Produce programmatic analyses to identify opportunity and provide actionable insights for sales team
- Educate sales, client services, and larger ad operations teams on programmatic and first-party data offerings
- Maintain relationships and grow partnerships with SSPs, DSP, trading desks, and agencies
- Ensure ad partners are serving ads that meet Slate’s ad-quality standards; investigate issues with partners and ad-quality vendors
- Pull programmatic performance reporting within multiple supply-side platforms
- Assist senior manager of programmatic with other day-to-day revenue-related projects to reach programmatic goals
 
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of ad ops experience preferred, focus in programmatic a plus
- Understanding of major SSPs, DSP, trading desks, and agencies 
- Knowledge of ad server delivery logic, auction logic, and ad-serving platforms (Google Ad Manager, Prebid, SSP platforms/interfaces)
- Experience with Excel and business tools (Looker, BigQuery, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-sufficiency
- Being detail-oriented and data-driven
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and aptitude for learning new processes and technologies
- Ability to maintain relationships internally and externally at all levels while working with others and maintaining a positive attitude 
- Bachelor’s degree (or relevant work experience)
