About the Role

Slate is seeking an account director to join our East Coast sales team. This position will be responsible for driving revenue by identifying prospects, developing strategic partnerships, delivering compelling presentations, and negotiating program packages and schedules with ad agencies and advertisers across the East Coast region.                 

Key Responsibilities

    • Drive revenue by selling integrated packages across digital and audio platforms (podcasts, display, sponsorships, and custom marketing programs)
    • Develop and manage relationships at all levels with top ad agencies and brands
    • Utilize marketing and sales collateral, visual presentations, and research reports and data to effectively deliver our message to clients
    • Serve as a trusted consultant with partners by bringing them solution-oriented recommendations and strategies to solve business challenges
    • Work closely with marketing and studios teams to develop and deliver creative solutions that meet client goals
    • Oversee the pre- and post-sale process with client services and operations teams, delivering the highest level of customer service to our clients

Required Experience

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a digital advertising sales role
    • Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals

    • Ability to build and manage a consistent sales pipeline
    • Established relationships with leading agencies and clients
    • Experience developing and presenting multiplatform creative concepts and ideas
    • Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace with a focus on digital and audio platforms
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and multitask while paying close attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative attitude
