Summary

A Partner Sales Director’s job is to educate and energize both Smash’s partners and internal sales organization to help grow and find success selling together. You will facilitate the relationship between Smarsh and our Mobile carrier partners, assisting the partner in reaching their sales goals while simultaneously growing Smarsh’s channel partner network. While this role will primarily be assigned mobile partners, we do expect you to have the skills required to support other partners as assigned. 

You must be a cross-functional team player, who enjoys being a self-starter and thrives in a fast-paced environment in a culture of collaboration and accountability.

How will you contribute?

    • Educate and energize Smash’s Partners to help them grow and find success through our products and services.
    • Work closely with assigned Partners' sales team to train on products, practices, and procedures to be successful.
    • Manage deal registration, opportunity acceptance, rejection, and sales conflict.
    • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the partner on customer calls.
    • Account mapping – develop, execute, and manage key account plans and ensure those plans reflect the priorities established on the business strategy.
    • Conduct regular enablement engagements with identified key sales reps and teams.
    • Manage contracts including reconciliation of the partner sales invoices with internal accounting for accurate revenue forecasting. 
    • Negotiate the contracts being signed with the partner. 
    • Work at the highest levels within the carrier to create profitable relationships.
    • Be able to demo and present the services similar to a Sales Engineer.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

What will you bring?

    • 5+ years prior experience in direct or channel sales.
    • Prior telecom carrier experience and knowledge
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Track record of sustained success/over-achievement against revenue targets.
    • Knowledge of financial and/government markets and or hosted technology services is highly advantageous.
    • Familiarity with or working knowledge of Salesforce.com.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Proven communication skills.
    • A passion for selling the products and services.
    • A willingness to roll up the sleeves and get the job done.

$140,000 - $180,000 a year

The above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process. 

The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training. 

Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
