PhD Internship, Summer 2024 start
We are currently seeking interns who are working towards acquiring a PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field for a part-time 1-year internship contract starting in the summer of 2024. This program will allow you to help support the engineering teams across the organisation. In this position, you will assist the team with specific projects and get a unique experience to see if a future working in technology is right for you! In this role, you will be part of a large software engineering team working on production issues for a compliance archive. 

How will you contribute?

    • Programming skills in relevant languages.
    • Knowledge and experience in MongoDB, Elastic Search, k8s, S3 and other cloud based technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

What will you bring?

    • Graduate and Post-doctoral candidates to work year-round with us in specific areas of interest – BSc in Computer Science or related field.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to define features and their implementations.
    • Good understanding and experience in modern software programming/engineering.

Desired Technical Experience

    • Proficiency with a JVM language  - Java, Angular etc.
    • Knowledge of modern software architecture.
    • Experience or interest in working on enterprise grade products specializing in compliant archival.  

Location

    • This is a remote position with the expectation for the candidate to travel to Cambridge or Belfast at least once a month to join in person workshops with the team.
