Summary

As our event specialist, you will work with the Senior Event Marketing Manager and assist in all aspects of hosted events, tradeshows, and industry conferences to ensure that they are optimized for customer experience, lead generation and branding. Travel is required, on average, 5 days per month over a nine-month period of the calendar year.  

Note: This position follows a hybrid work model, with 3 days spent on-site and 2 days working remotely. The role is based out of our Atlanta, GA center of excellence (COE).

How will you contribute?

    • Support multiple tradeshows and events from conception to completion simultaneously – up to 60 events per calendar year. 
    • Work cross functionally to lead promotional activities for events – pre-and-post show emails, social media, socialization of event plan with key stakeholders internally and externally. 
    • Lead pre-show preparation, including speaker coordination, coordination of booth materials and kickoff calls with attending teams.  
    • Manage budget for each event individually; maintain POs, PROC tickets in internal systems; work with finance and legal as needed. 
    • Coordinate safe & timely transfer of appropriate show materials to each event. 
    • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers. 
    • Manage event marketing swag inventory. 
    • Track deadlines in ClickUp for event logistics and deliverables. 
    • Assist sales team with marketing materials and/or swag for client and prospect meetings. 
    • Other duties as assigned. 

What will you bring?

    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Minimum 1 year of prior experience as an event marketing specialist. 
    • Experience working in a tech startup (SaaS) environment is highly desired. 
    • Strong project management skills and highly organized. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Effective and efficient at multi-tasking many diverse and demanding activities across multiple teams and events. 
    • Empowered self-starter who can initiate and drive activities to successful conclusions. 
    • Outstanding team player who thrives in high performing collaborative teams. 
    • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Click-up, and Microsoft Office. 
    • Ability to lift boxes up to 40 lbs. 
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time – up to 8 hours a day.  
$22 - $31 an hour

The above pay range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process. 

The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training. 

Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
