The Mobile QA Manual Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and user experience of mobile applications (iOS and Android) through thorough manual testing. This role involves executing test cases, documenting defects, and collaborating with development, automation, and product teams to deliver high-quality mobile apps.

Requirements

    • Test Execution: Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, usability, UI/UX, compatibility, and exploratory testing for iOS and Android applications, validate application builds in different environments.
    • Test Case Development: Create, execute and maintain detailed test cases and test plans based on product requirements, user stories, and design specifications.
    • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, providing clear and reproducible steps for developers to resolve issues.
    • Cross-Platform Testing: Test applications across various devices and OS versions (iOS, Android) to ensure compatibility and consistent performance.
    • User Experience Validation: Validate UI/UX elements to ensure intuitive navigation, responsiveness, and adherence to design guidelines.
    • API Testing: Verify API integrations using tools like Postman to ensure accurate data flow and functionality.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of test cases, test results, knowledge base repository and defect reports for traceability and future reference.

Required Skills and Qualifications

    • A degree in QA testing or a student with a relevant certification, with strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    • 1-2 years of experience in software testing, preferably of mobile applications (iOS and Android).
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    • Proficiency with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Xray or Bugzilla).
    • Experience with API testing with third-party applications.
    • Experience with logs tracking and analysis.
    • Experience with SQL for querying databases to validate data integrity and backend functionality.
    • Proficiency with Black Box and Gray Box testing techniques.

    • Advantage:
    • Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Appium, Selenuim).
