The Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the sales team. This position ensures seamless execution of sales processes, data accuracy in CRM systems, and delivery of actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable sales processes, workflows, and best practices across the sales funnel.
- Manage and optimize CRM (e.g. Salesforce), ensuring data accuracy, pipeline integrity, and automation of key tasks. Develop and maintain sales reports and dashboards to provide visibility into performance metrics.
- Design, implement, and scale revenue generating processes using data and technology to streamline workflows that will improve sales velocity.
- Oversee sales forecasting models and deliver accurate, actionable insights to sales leadership for strategic planning.
- Support cross-department projects that identify and improve revenue generating activities
- Effectively communicate complex sales and revenue operations processes, policies, and analytical findings to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and promoting adoption. Responsible for educating the sales team on new processes and supporting the onboarding of new sales team members into the CRM.
- Collaborate with internal resources and subject matter experts on sales operations tasks to support productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dedicated reporting and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnership-generated revenue, partner influence, pipeline health, and referral activities, providing actionable insights for partner program optimization and growth.
- Support customer-facing teams by analyzing customer lifecycle data, including retention rates, expansion revenue (upsell/cross-sell), churn analysis, and customer health scores, to identify trends and recommend data-driven strategies for maximizing customer lifetime value and mitigating risk.
- Support the refinement and optimization of relevant processes within Salesforce and other sales tools, such as partner deal registration, co-selling workflows, renewal forecasting, and customer segmentation, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain required data and support the preparation of reports using Salesforce and Tableau to communicate operational insights and revenue health.
- Comply with the privacy, security and confidentiality policies.
- Hold all confidential information in trust and strict confidence and ensure that it shall be used only for the purposes required to fulfill employment obligations, and shall not be used for any other purpose, or disclosed to any third party. A breach of policy or misuse of information could result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a sales support or enablement type of role, preferably in a B2B, high-growth or SaaS company.
- 2+ years of experience working with Salesforce Analytics. Experience with Tableau, an asset.
- Experience gathering and analyzing revenue-related KPIs and creating reports for sales and finance leadership.
- An understanding of post closed-won processes and finance terminology (eg. billing, collections, revenue recognition).
- Ability to maintain a long-term outlook while being revenue-focused when architecting solutions to challenges combined with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
