Sr. Program Manager

The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy. The senior program manager will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.  

Responsibilities:

    • Participating in SAFe Agile ceremonies to ensure that the team fully understands the scope of work and commits to appropriate deadlines 
    • Identifying, mitigating, and communicating risks to delivery and timelines 
    • Cultivating customer relationships to ensure the team not only fulfills contractual obligations, but provides a high degree of customer satisfaction 
    • Establishing a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations 
    • Measuring and reporting program performance 
    • Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders 
    • Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements 
    • Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning 
    • Managing suppliers to meet program objectives 
    • Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards 

Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline 
    • Experience: 10 years' experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries 
    • Agile: Experience leading large teams who incrementallyrelease working softwarein at least monthly, if not more often, and adapt and pivot based on learnings from past releases 
    • Product management: Ensures that the team builds software that solves real business and user needs and delivers the value expected by the client. Collaborates with clients to refine their requests and requirements to ensure the resulting work delivers the expected value. 
    • Customer intimacy: Consistently makes time to seek and incorporate input from customers and understand their expectations. Demonstrates commitment and energy to meet customer needs. Builds strong relationships with strategic partners and key suppliers. Guides program team and support functions on how to take action to satisfy customer expectations. 
    • Communications: The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs. 
    • Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program. 
    • Certifications: Active PMP certification. 

Preferred Qualificiations:

    • Experience working in the CMS environment. 
    • Master's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline 
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence  
    • Scrum Master certification  
    • SAFe certification  

Public Trust Clearance
This role requires the hired candidate to go through public clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is a must to be eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship.

Work Location 
We do have great open collaboration physical office spaces in Leesburg VA and Baltimore MD for those of us that may prefer either short term or long-term physical spaces. However, Softrams is a 100% remote first team environment, and this role is a 100% remote opportunity within the USA. Softrams works in eastern zone and standard work hours are 9 AM ET to 5 PM ET with flexibility around the start and end times based on the team needs..
