We are growing our People Operations Team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is a critical thinker and is excited about employee engagement. The Sr. People (HR) Associate will be the glue supporting processes and programs for the People (HR) Team. Main Responsibilities

    • Employee Onboarding - Ensuring great employee experience starting with the employee onboarding/orientation process and introducing new hires to company culture. This role is responsible  for smooth execution of employee onboarding and the buddy program. An essential part of this role is to work with managers and IT Team, for a successful onboarding experience for a new employee. Responsible for conducting first day employee orientation presentation which includes 30/60/90 Day follow up with new hires.
    • Support our People Operations engine - The candidate will work as part of the People Operations team of Softrams, to support employees and guide them on Softrams’ HR processes  and work on timely resolutions and responses for Employee Helpdesk queries, in collaboration with People Ops Manager and Director, People Ops.
    • Candidate will also support system changes for employee transitions like new hires and offboarding. 
    • Support other initiatives within People Team and will work closely with Director of People Operations/ People Operations Manager, which may include, cross-departmental employee engagement initiatives, employee recognition programs.
    • Build great relationships and collaborate with others on People team and as well as across the company.
    • The candidate will have to maintain complete confidentiality of all HR-related information available to them. 

Key skills and qualifications:

    • Ideal candidate must be a critical thinker.
    • Requires 3 plus years’ experience working in a Human Resources function i.e. conducting orientation, employee engagement activities, and familiarity working with employees who are remote
    • A minimum AA Degree required, preferred Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business Administration
    • Candidate has experience conducting meetings and events via zoom
    • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality as well as HR confidential information.
    • Strong ability to efficiently organize and track projects and tasks; strong work ethic and ability to follow through; self-starter.
    • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
    • Curious, humble, excited to learn and contribute in a team environment
    • Creative and innovative to come up with ideas on employee engagement programs to include handling the coordination of events.
    • Incredibly detail-oriented; able to input data accurately and track all tasks to completion
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to assist in drafting learning aids
    • Passion for maximizing systems and technology to improve the employee experience
    • Curiosity and excitement for multiple areas of Employee Experience/ Human Resources
    • Strong competence in Excel, Word, competent in a variety of technology platforms; excellent attention to detail;

Preferred Experience

    • Bonus: candidate has knowledge of Employment/labor laws.
    • Any Human Resource Certification is a plus.

Work Location - This role is based out of one of our two main offices in Woodlawn, Maryland and will report to the Head of People Operations / People Operations Manager.

Work Location:
We have open-collaboration offices in Leesburg VA and Baltimore MD for those who may prefer to work on-site. However, Softrams is a 100% remote-first team environment. Softrams works in the eastern time zone and standard work hours are 9am ET to 5pm ET with flexibility around start and end times based on team needs.
