Software Engineering Intern

SOHO – Build Team
SOHO is a data-driven full-service digital strategy, intelligence, and product studio, set up in early 2008. We build software, sites, and multi-channel experiences for the world’s biggest organisations. From the United Nations and British National Health Service, through to private-equity and international law firms, we apply an evidence-based and test-driven approach to systems design.

As an engineering intern at Soho Strategy you'll be challenged to help build internal tools, and contribute towards the development of code used in real-world projects, alongside senior developers. You'll work with our growing team and gain meaningful experience during your time with the firm.

The successful candidate will relate heavily to the following profile:

    • Be studying, or have recently completed, a Computer Science from a reputable university, or equivalent (such as École 42). Related degrees such as Engineering or Maths will be considered.
    • Be keen to garner real-world experience in a small, but fast-growing team, working with big-name clients on a wide variety of software development challenges.
    • Possess demonstrable experience in any of the following: HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript (particularly Node and React)/C++/Java/Python/Go.
    • Ideally have a portfolio of school work, or past projects (personal or professional) to talk through at interview.
Soho Strategy is based in Central London. The successful candidate will most likely be London-based, or willing to relocate. Exceptional candidates who do not wish to work in London will still be considered for remote team positions, and should let us know when applying.

On a day-to-day basis we work in small 3-5 person teams, roughly splitting time 80/20 between developing our own projects in-house, and engaging clients in their ideas.
