About Us
Solar Landscape is the leading commercial rooftop solar developer in the U.S. Only 4% of commercial rooftops host solar today — we’re changing that, fast. Commercial rooftop solar is the fastest, smartest way to build new clean power — delivering megawatts of generation in months, not years, and powering America’s energy and future right where it’s needed most. By turning rooftops into local power plants, we’re reshaping how — and how fast — energy gets built in the U.S.
Recognized as the #1 Distributed Generation Developer by New Project Media, the #1 National Commercial Rooftop Solar Developer by Solar Power World, and winner of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grand Prize for Clean Energy, Solar Landscape is defining the future of energy generation in America.
Headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Solar Landscape has offices in Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City and operates in over a dozen states nationwide.
We move fast, solve hard problems, and take our work seriously — but never ourselves. We value clear thinking, accountability, and execution. At the same time, we’re collaborative by default, and believe the best work happens when people enjoy working together. Our team is made up of smart, grounded people who show up for each other — whether that’s troubleshooting a system design or catching up over lunch.
If you’re looking to do meaningful work in a high-performance environment — and be part of the team reshaping how energy gets built in the U.S. — we’d love to meet you.
About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our Operations team at Solar Landscape and will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program across construction sites and owned solar assets.

This role partners closely with field teams, project managers, and leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and injury-free work environment in line with OSHA and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Director of EHS on all safety-related matters.
- Foster and maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across internal teams and subcontractors.
- Implement and enforce corporate safety policies and procedures, including Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans, safety observations, incident investigations, and training programs.
- Conduct pre-mobilization safety assessments to identify and address potential risks.
- Manage on-site safety for multiple active construction projects.
- Work independently in the field, ensuring consistent application of safety protocols.
- Serve as the primary safety liaison between Solar Landscape and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site visits to build relationships with project teams and subcontractors, identify safety gaps, perform audits, and provide actionable feedback.
- Clearly communicate the business value of a strong EHS program to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Ability to lead independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and accessing rooftops using ladders or stair towers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in front of groups.
- Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Knowledgeable in current health and safety regulations, practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Skilled in evaluating potential physical hazards and implementing effective controls.
- Ability to stay up to date on evolving safety laws, codes, and compliance requirements.
