About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team! This is a great opportunity to grow your career with a leading company in the renewable energy industry.  The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with a strong aptitude for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment within the renewable energy sector. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including project management, financial reporting, contractual compliance, and risk management, supporting the day-to-day operations of our solar energy assets.

Responsibilities

    • Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
    • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable of all portfolios under management.
    • Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets.
    • Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing.
    • Preparation of monthly management reports, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports of portfolios under management and providing follow-up of significant variances.
    • Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements to various parties.
    • Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements.
    • Contribute to the Company special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution, with 2+ years of relevant experience; CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred.
    • Experience in the renewable energy industry or real estate accounting is a plus.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate across all levels and functions of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.
    • Skilled in multitasking and managing complex assignments efficiently.
    • Project-driven mindset with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
