Community solar allows everyone to participate in supporting solar energy. It embodies the concept of environmental justice: the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income.
Solar On Earth is the go-to company for most of the major solar farm developers seeking to designate their farms for community solar. We need someone to help direct and manage Inside Sales Representatives to sell community solar in a way that matters most to the potential customers we target in various industries and regions .
As the Inside Sales Manager for Solar On earth your goal will be to drive thousands of people to subscribe to a community solar farm – helping them to “go green” without taking money out of their pocket.
You’ll develop your personal brand as a foremost expert in our space with the support and training of our legacy solar experts.
Are you a strategic yet tactical Inside Sales Manager who is looking to have impact? This is an “in the trenches” role in which you will be responsible for your own sales, the strategy of our direct inside sales team, and also responsible for day-to-day execution of the ISR team's direct sales efforts.

Not everyone can be a great Inside Sales Manager. To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
Experience: At least 3 years experience managing a cold calling outbound direct sales center. Closing over the phone capability.
Education: Preferably a college Bachelor’s degree, but with the right experience we will consider candidates with a high-school degree (or equivalent)
Skills - You must have direct sales skills. You should be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written. You must have management and leadership skills that will influence each member on your team to reach their maximum performance potential. You must have operations skills to develop processes and procedures. And you must have a strategic sense of how to continually improve this sales channel
Characteristics: This is a manager position, so you should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. You are managing a sales channel and so you will be involved in mapping the business plan with leadership.
As Solar On Earth’s Inside Sales Manager you’ll meet the goals of this sales channel by experimenting, learning, and adjusting as you go. Throughout your journey to grow sales in various communities, you’ll be responsible for:
All Things Selling- the public has general awareness of rooftop solar, but they are not aware of community solar programs. Our potential customers want to know why they should care or listen to our “pitch”, and then they need to know why they should subscribe now. Your job is to lead our inside sales team to engage prospects in a manner that they want to know more about the community solar movement. Your team will lead prospects through the process of subscribing to a community solar farm (close the sale).
Publishing Metrics - by identifying metrics that matter the most based on the campaign, you’ll be responsible for publishing the data that helps leaders make decisions and take actions to improve the business.
Prospecting - You'll be close to action and know what works and doesn’t work with certain prospects. You’ll be responsible for feedback on which prospect lists we should increase contact with and which ones we should decrease contact with.
Developing - you’ll be using your first hand experience to train ISR’s on how to use your scripts and adjust, so that they can engage prospects in informative, entertaining conversations that lead them to join the community solar movement.
Managing- coaching, setting expectations, establishing rewards, discipline, and direction will be your responsibility for our small ISR team.
