Solar On Earth is looking for a personable and highly organized Customer Service Representative to join their Ayer, MA office.
We’re the leading company in Community Solar, providing opportunities for individuals and businesses to take part in exciting Community Solar initiatives. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be a vital resource to our customers, building relationships and solving problems in the innovative field of renewable energy.
As a primary point of contact, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the business-customer relationship after the customers have subscribed to our programs. As such, you will be responsible for gathering feedback, ensuring customers are receiving discounts they expect, answering questions, gathering referrals, and setting up future conversations.
To be successful, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with customer service, especially phone-based customer service, is vital. Much of your communication will be across e-mail and phone conversations. We are looking for someone who is tech savvy, with an excellent typing speed, the ability to learn new software quickly, and experience with data entry and data manipulation. You must have good experience with Microsoft Excel, as most of our data is processed in Excel spreadsheets.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business, Communications, or similar discipline
- 2+ years of experience with phone-based customer service, especially commercial
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- 50 WPM typing speed minimum
- Strong organizational skills
- People-driven personality
- Candidates must be local to Ayer, MA
