About SOLFL

SOLFL is a new movement in conscious education dedicated to cultivating spiritual intelligence. Our first school, SOLFL עץ חיים, a new PK-12 Miami Torah Earth School, is opening in September 2025. The campus will serve as a farm and living classroom where children can learn in and from nature. SOLFL offers a holistic curriculum that integrates spiritual practice, entrepreneurship, creative expression and ecology with academic learning-emphasizing the interconnectedness of all things.

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and purpose-driven Upper Elementary Educator to guide students in Grades 4–5 through an interdisciplinary, mastery-based, and spiritually aligned learning experience. This role can be shaped by one of two profiles:
A certified Montessori Lead Guide with Upper Elementary experience OR
An exceptional generalist educator versed on another progressive pedagogy that knows how to integrate academic disciplines.

In either case, we are looking for an educator who can hold a mixed-age learning environment with high expectations, deep compassion, and reverence for the unfolding of each child. Your classroom will be a place where students build academic foundations while developing independence, critical thinking, ecological awareness, and inner purpose.

Responsibilities

    • Lead instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, Humanities), either through a traditional or Montessori framework
    • Differentiate learning within a mixed-age classroom, meeting a range of readiness levels with grace and precision
    • Use tools like student work journals, independent contracts, and goal-setting sessions to build executive functioning and ownership
    • Integrate nature-based experiences and Torah-aligned values into daily instruction and classroom culture
    • Design interdisciplinary units and long-form projects that help students apply learning in meaningful ways
    • Collaborate with other educators to support holistic student growth and thematic coherence
    • Document and share student progress through narrative assessments, mastery check-ins, and regular family communication
    • Participate in school-wide events, curriculum design, and professional growth rooted in the SOLFL mission

You are the ideal candidate if you:

    • Are either Montessori-trained or a strong generalist with experience in upper elementary teaching
    • Feel confident teaching across Math, Science, and Humanities in a way that is developmentally responsive and spiritually grounded
    • Are committed to mastery-based, student-centered education
    • Can navigate the balance between academic structure and creative inquiry
    • Are comfortable working outdoors, integrating ecological literacy, and connecting learning to the rhythms of the land and Torah
    • Thrive in a collaborative, evolving environment with a high level of teacher voice and autonomy
    • See teaching as a sacred responsibility and are aligned with the SOLFL values of oneness, integrity, and transformation

Bonus if you:

    • Have experience in nature-based or outdoor learning
    • Are trained in permaculture, Torah study, storytelling, or restorative practices
    • Have supported neurodiverse learners or designed individualized learning paths
    • Bring a unique skill or passion—such as music, movement, gardening or creative writing

Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
    • Small class sizes and strong relationships with students and families
    • Access to professional development in integrated curriculum design, nature-based pedagogy, and spiritual education
    • A warm, mission-aligned team committed to collaboration, authenticity, and purpose
    • Opportunity to shape a truly holistic, interdisciplinary learning experience in a growing school community
