Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop robust internal tools using low-code platforms (e.g. Retool, n8n, Superblocks, or similar).
    • Build and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate with internal and third-party systems.
    • Implement workflow automation and system orchestration via platforms like n8n, or custom scripts.
    • Evaluate and extend platform functionality with custom code where needed (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc.).
    • Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
    • Maintain high standards for code quality, test coverage, and observability.
    • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy.

Mandatory requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
    • Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, plus working experience with Node.js.
    • Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
    • Hands-on experience with at least one low-code platform (Retool, Appsmith, Superblocks, etc.).
    • Experience with workflow automation using tools like n8n, Zapier, Temporal, or custom schedulers.
    • Familiarity with common cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization).
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews for peers.

Optional requirements:

    • Experience integrating with databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL) and external APIs (OAuth2, webhooks, etc.).
    • Background in building internal developer tools, admin dashboards, or process automation leveraging Superblocks or Retool.
    • Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Vue) for cases where low-code needs augmentation.
    • Knowledge of security practices around auth, secrets, data access, and API exposure.
    • Experience in fast-paced environments or product-centric teams where speed and reliability both matter.
