Role Summary
You will collaborate with the management team and field account executives to build strategies to grow Sophos Public Sector business. The role encompasses two primary responsibilities 1) You will craft and execute a contract management strategy to ensure the broad availability of Sophos products to Public Sector customers and 2) You will play a supporting role in developing RFP responses to lead and track long-term capture pursuits and ensure compliance with RFP terms.  You will report to the Vice President of the U.S. Public Sector.  

What You Will Do

    • You will work independently and as an important member of the sales organization.
    • You will work closely with Product Management, Legal, Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, and other business areas to ensure contract compliance while applying appropriate pricing and channel strategies to create value for our customers.  
    • You will identify and develop long sales cycle opportunities alongside account executives to increase Sophos win rates and deal sizes.
    • You will engage with internal decision-makers, channel partners, and government contracting officials in the execution of the Public Sector business.  

What You Will Bring

    • You are a strong team player focused on contributing to and participating in the growth of the sales organization
    • You have an excellent customer focus, strong attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic sales organization
    • You have 5+ years of experience in channel operations, sales operations, contract management, or related functions. 
    • You are familiar with and have a basic understanding of federal, state, and local procurement contracts
    • Sales experience, cybersecurity, and /or SaaS experience are a plus
    • You have strong presentation skills to sell yourself and your ideas to all stakeholders
    • You have strong analytical skills and are proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint among other office tools  
    • You are familiar with government procurement database services and are proficient at parsing, analyzing, and presenting relevant data
