Role Summary
This position will work closely with both the Hardware Engineering Team and the Supply Chain (both internal and external teams).  The candidate will monitor and implement changes to the hardware product driven by a variety of reasons including but not limited to quality, feature changes, new part qualifications, etc.  The role also requires activity relating to the New Product Introduction.  NPI activities include: Defining requirements, validating requirements through the early production, and feeding back information critical to product success to the suppliers and hardware teams.  The candidate will ensure the necessary information is gathered and communicated for legal and regulatory compliance on all new hardware products.  Measuring suppliers on the ODM Scorecard will also allow the person in the role to offer continuous improvement opportunities to Sophos and their suppliers.

What You Will Do

    • Define, Manage, and Implement Engineering Changes within the Supply Chain
    • Create Specifications for critical part data for all New Products
    • Control and Schedule Qualification of New component Parts for hardware designs
    • Ensure Legal Compliance is achieved on all New Products
    • Monitor, report, and take action on Quality Issues for units returned from the field
    • Define and Monitor Supply Chain Metrics through the ODM Scorecard

What You Will Bring

    • Proactive approach toward quality
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of Hardware Design Control and Revisioning
    • Knowledge of how the product is manufactured, assembled, and tested in a factory setting
    • Environmental compliance experience is a plus
    • Great communications skills
