Role Summary
Sophos is looking for an experienced Head of AI to lead our data science team in developing and implementing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to drive business growth and innovation. As the Head of AI, you will play a critical role in driving the company's data-driven strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement predictive models, algorithms, and data-driven solutions.

What You Will Do

    • Lead and manage a team of data scientists to deliver advanced analytics and machine learning solutions, leveraging large-scale data sets to drive business growth and innovation
    • Work with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and business operations to identify, prioritize, and execute data-driven initiatives that align with business goals
    • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to drive data-driven decisions across the company, including for customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
    • Build and manage the data science infrastructure, tools, and processes to ensure the scalability, reliability, and accuracy of data-driven solutions
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science tools and technologies, and assess their potential impact on Sophos' business and products
    • Communicate complex data-driven insights, recommendations, and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
    • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing within the data science team and across the organization

What You Will Bring

    • 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering innovative and impactful data-driven solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment
    • 3+ years of experience in managing and leading a team of data scientists, with a focus on developing and mentoring team members to achieve their full potential
    • Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, data mining, and data visualization
    • Experience with programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python, R, and SQL
    • Familiarity with big data platforms and tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
