Role Summary
 
The Internal Sales Engineer supports the EMEA North sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and customer awareness. This is a Hybrid role, to be based in the Manchester office at least 3 days per week.

What You Will Do

    • Support EMEA North sales team with technical expertise for customers 101-1000 users.
    • Build meaningful relationships with key customer technical decision-makers to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Serve as subject matter expert and technical lead for Sophos technology portfolio and conduct technical virtual and onsite meetings, product demos, and proof of concepts with customers.
    • Provide secondary sales engineering coverage for field sales teams in 1001+ user band including RFP Management, Backup SE Support, POC Staging and setup, and Onsite travel as needed.
    • Provide support for customer success motions to promote cross-selling and portfolio expansion within the current Sophos customer base utilizing the following activities: Health Checks, Threatparser, NIST Assessments, and MDR Tabletop.
    • Work with the Channel Sales team and partner community to create a pipeline through indirect engagements.
    • Based in the Manchester Sales office 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).

What You Will Bring

    • 3-5 years in a sales support/technical role working with decision-makers in large organizations with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
    • Foundational technical knowledge of Networking solutions and Cyber Security.
    • Foundational understanding of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services as well as Incident Response offerings
    • Strong verbal communication skills for delivering high-quality, engaging product demos.
    • Ability to deliver outstanding customer experience and clearly articulate competitive advantages, both technical and business levels.
    • Experience in selling through and with channel partners, and ability to thrive in a team selling environment.
    • Thrives in a supportive, sales-focused environment and efficiency-minded team player, excited to work towards a common goal with global teams, from different cultures and backgrounds.
