The Sophos AI team is seeking a Threat Analyst to help ensure the quality of the machine learning technologies we ship to protect our customers.  Sophos AI is an international organization within Sophos responsible for all machine learning research, development, deployment, and operations.  

As a Threat Analyst on the Sophos AI Model Quality Team you will

    • Work with an international data science organization to protect tens of millions of Sophos customer endpoints from cyber attacks
    • Drive improvements to the quality of Sophos AI’s machine learning training data through improved data labeling
    • Drive improvements to the quality of Sophos AI’s model predictions by discovering and analyzing model false-negatives and false-positives
    • Develop a full-featured monitoring and alerting system to track data feed ingestion and processing
    • Regularly report on overall findings with respect to what Sophos’ machine learning models are and are not detecting in the threat landscape
    • Help write blog posts and other outward facing materials on what you are seeing in the cyber threat landscape and in the performance of Sophos’ machine learning models

What You Shall Bring

    • Bachelor degree in Computer Software (Computer Security preferable)
    • Background in cybersecurity threat analysis or the ability to learn relevant security domain knowledge quickly
    • Ability to write SQL queries, Python scripts and programs, regular expressions to implement the monitoring system
    • Strong English communication skills
