At source{d} we are building the technology stack for the next generation of Machine Learning powered developer tools. We are an open-core company built around our Open Source projects. We have raised over eight million USD so far, and we are currently growing our team.

Engineering at source{d}

Engineering consists of five different teams that represent the architecture of our product:

• Applications (Scala, Go, Python, and Frontend tools): Builds CLI/Web applications combining ML research with our stack.
• Machine Learning (C++ and Python): Performs R&D for Machine Learning on Source Code.
• Data Retrieval (Scala and Go): Builds the technology that finds, fetches, stores and analyzes over +60M Git repositories.
• Language Analysis (Go and another +15): Focused on Babelfish, the universal code parsing server.
• Infrastructure (Go and Python): Manages a cluster of on-prem bare metal servers with Kubernetes and CoreOS, and GCP for user facing applications.

We care about Open Source. Everything we develop is available for anyone to read, modify, and contribute (under Apache 2.0 or GPL3 license). Some examples of our projects are:

bblfsh/bblfshd: Babelfish server, turning code into Universal Abstract Syntax Trees (UASTs).
src-d/engine: a library for running scalable data retrieval pipelines that process any number of Git repositories for source code analysis.
src-d/go-git: a highly extensible Git implementation in pure Go.
src-d/ml: a library to build and apply Machine Learning models on top of Universal Abstract Syntax Trees.

This position is for a Talent Manager as part of the source{d} Operations team. source{d} is fast growing company that is currently hiring across our different teams. For the Talent position, we are looking for someone with background in software engineering and being passionate about technical Talent. Our experience in the developer community has proven us that for every position at source{d} only people with developer mindset can fit in our culture, and the same applies to the Talent Manager we are looking for.  Be prepared to wear many hats.

Below are the main responsibilities: 

• Handling the communication between candidates and source{d} in every step as well as scheduling the necessary interviews and challenges. As you are expected to have technical background you will have the chance to take part into the interviews.
• You will work closely with the lead engineers of every team for reviewing the applicants and evaluating the candidates. 
• Keeping up to date our careers page and guide especially in topics that have to do with Talent.
• You will also be participating on hiring events in order to meet people that could be a good fit for our team.
• From time to time you will work closely with the Data Intelligence team for projects in common.
• As we are a fully-remote team onboarding is a process we are constantly improving. You will have to regularly put effort on it in order to give the best experience to our new members.
• You need to have the ability to work independently and make decisions that have to do with our processes.
• Tools you will be using in daily basis: Lever, GitHub, Slack, Gmail.
