We currently have an opportunity for a Training Advisor to join our team based across Devon and Cornwall. Joining us on a Fixed Term Contract basis until 31st December 2025, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
 
As our Street works Training Advisor you will be responsible for providing training courses to employees from the Pennon Group companies and occasionally external clients.
 
You will ensure that both internal & external customers experience a first-rate service at our Training Centre whilst equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks
With a small team of dedicated staff, it is imperative that you have a flexible attitude and excellent customer service skills.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Work as part of a team to develop, deliver and maintain Streetworks Training and Assessment at our accredited Training Centre
    • Designing & delivering training courses / programmes necessary to meet the business needs of the company
    • Ensuring that all training packages are kept up to date i.e legislation changes, company policy updates etc
    • Arranging the maintenance/repair of all necessary training equipment and creating a log/schedule to reflect this
    • Representing SWW on appropriate national working groups for the development of new and replacement qualifications
    • Acting as a role model portraying the company vision and values and ensuring your own actions prompt a positive image of the Training Team to internal and external clients
    • Ensure activities support the maintenance of specific Awarding Body policies and ISO compliance
    • Ensuring that all training equipment is in good working order and stored in the correct and safe manner, carrying out monthly inspections of training equipment and confined space entry rig to ensure standards are maintained
    • Attendance at monthly training meetings

What we are looking for:

    • Full UK Drivers Licence
    • Accredited (CABWI, City & Guilds or similar) Streetworks instructor/assessor
    • Strong organisational skills with an ability to determine priorities and act on own initiative
    • An experienced trainer capable of designing & delivering quality events across a broad range of subjects. 
    • An ability to communicate effectively and cope with a demanding workload is essential
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
