We currently have an opportunity for a Waste Water Performance Technician (Flow & EDM) to join our team based in Exeter, Devon. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus a range of excellent company benefits.

About the role:
To provide support to the Waste Water Team Leader (Flow & EDM) assisting with the delivery of Mcerts Flow Policy, Flow to treatment compliance and Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) reporting requirements across the business.  

Ensure that monitoring equipment is performing satisfactorily and that reports demonstrate an accurate picture of asset performance and that data is handled in accord with company data handling guidelines.

What you'll be doing:

    • Provide support to the Waste Water Performance Manager (Flow & EDM), Waste Water Performance Team Leader, and Waste Water Service teams to enable compliance targets to be met.
    • Liaise with appropriate personnel within Waste Water operational functions, IS, Engineering Services and external contacts such as EA, H5O contractors to ensure that all regulatory and key processes are effectively monitored and the data securely archived to ensure that regulatory commitments are met.
    • Compile and analyse data to provide key information for the effective management of assets to ensure compliance is met.
    • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports so that they accurately portray asset performance and are produced on time.
    • Audit and identify defects in regulatory monitoring equipment and report as necessary to ensure that the equipment is repaired and meets compliance monitoring specifications.
    • Compile and maintain records (including correspondence and bespoke systems) of key data to ensure that an accurate knowledge of assets is available for effective management of Waste Water and Sewerage compliance.
    • To provide cover for in the absence of the Waste Water Performance Support Technician

What we are looking for:

    • 5 GCSEs or equivalent in Maths,English and science subject
    • Data Quality Assurance background
    • Previous experience of working on own initiative and/or working as part of a team 
    • Good analytical approach to data and data quality
    • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Enthusiastic and motivated to achieve personal and functional objectives
    • Attention to detail and methodical
    • Takes ownership of data and information analysed and recorded
    • Ability to deliver timely and accurate results
    • Good communicator and team worker
    • A flexible approach to workload and working hours
